What do you do with the boot for #7 on that MSD cable set?

The boots are so long it forced the cable to rub against my master cylinder in both wags I had. It only takes a few thousand miles for the insulation to start rubbing away, and now 20,000 miles later it's through the red layer and into the yellow. Is the boot was just an inch shorter it wouldn't be a problem.

Also, I agree - SO EXPENSIVE.

take a very close look @ rotor rivet on that accel turd.
I had one come off and leave me on the side of the road.
last Accel part I ever bought...overpriced junk IMHO.
Standard Motor still makes good caps/rotors and half the cost.

boots

About the boots . The super conductor 8.5 mm wires have boots that you bend to any angle in any direction . I have these same wires on my Cherokee 454 with headers with bendable spark plug boots no burnt wires I am very happy with this product .

Check and make sure they used loctite?

I suspect the reason mine came apart was possibly because of the cap terminal to rotor clearance.
@ any rate the kit went back to summitracing for a refund.
Based on other folks having problems with their products sealed the deal for me.
Never again...

I bought acel wires and swapped them for MSD. They would come apart every time trying to remove them off the spark plug...

I got nothin regarding your $$$$ concern. I will add that Accel "USED" to be good stuff decades ago but somewhere around mid-late 70's(?) their quality went to crap.
So bad so I'm really surprised they still even exist today. If you get nothing else out of this thread: STAY AWAY from anything Accel!
