    FSJs in Indonesia

There aren't many non military FSJs here in Indonesia

While there are a lot of M715s (now Hercules diesel powered) the civil FSJs you rarely see on the road , I might see 5 in a year

I was told by the Police Dept that there are only 8 J20s in the whole country (220 million people) so it makes my truck rare here

These are some photos I took of a few of the FSJs at the lady's house where I bought my J20 in 2006. She had 9 or 10 FSJs (including the 3 FSJs in these photos which were taken in the capital city Jakarta in West Java) and others in Central and East Java including J10s , more wagoneers , another J20 and some M715s

The 2 Wagoneers had been stored for since 2001 but are now back on the road and working in the wild wild east of Irian Jaya.

An inline Toyota Turbo motor?! AWESOME! Was that a Supra engine? I am amazed at the paint and dash install.

Is that steering wheel from a Honda? Was the diesel a conversion or did they come with Toyota diesels over there? Nice looking trucks!

I would say you got the J20 from the right place. Thanks for sharing local FSJs!

The Wagoneer originally came with a 258 and 4 speed manual , the owner converted in to a Toyota 12H-T 3.9 litre 6 cyl turbo diesel with auto trans , I can't remember what transfer case was used

                More photos of the interior

I'd never seen this done before , the dash looked like it was factory made , great job

The owner of these vehicles was a 5ft tall Indonesian lady with 5 kids

She used to have around 40 cars and trucks (she had a warehouse to park them in) but hit hard times and had to start selling them off

She looked comical with this little lady driving these big FSJs but she drove them well

There are a couple of M715s in private hands here but nobody i know has one close by that I have photos of

The lady's M715s were based 500 miles from where I live

95% of them still serve with the army and it's not a good idea for foreigners (like me) to take photos of military personnel and equipment
