    Steering column gear indicator pointer?

What other makes/models of cars/trucks have a similar white gear pointer indicator on the steering column that will fit our FSJs?

I broke mine, and have been scouting the junkyards, and haven't come across any GM products that have that white pointer.

Is that design a Jeep only design? I was thinking GM & Chevy trucks would have something, but haven't seen any.....

That was one of the unique items of Jeeps. You'll have to see if someone has one, or if you can find one at a salvage yard.

Cool, there it is. So it's the same column as 71-72 GM truck? Good to know. Thanks for posting that.

                gm trucks

I think the 67-72 gm trucks with tilt. The whole shift selector looks the same as jeep. My neighbor restore a 72 he got that piece from LMC with new glass and mount. It looked and fit great.

How do you remove the pointer? I have to replace mine as well.

Team Grand Wagoner carries that part as well. A little pricey though.

You have to unclip the plastic part off and then the needle pulls out toward the steering wheel. The plastic will be brittle so be gentle with it.

And when I took my cover off, I wasn't aware of the little "V" clip on the backside. I boogered that up too. You need to pull the little V clip out from the back on the cover to get it off.
