Wow, looks VERY operable, to me. Maybe you should start parking it on your neighbors' cars so they know it runs and everything.

Poor jealous fools. I say take off the exhaust for a day or 2, and start tearing up and down the streets. That'll let 'em know its operable.

I think they're confused as to why I would ALWAYS be working on a running truck .

FSJ customs are confusing to outsiders. Many of my friends are outsiders, and they still aren't close to understanding. "It's an FSJ thing, you just wouldn't understand..."

To the uneducated the truck is probably an 'eye sore'. Are you breaking the rules?

                  Personally, I love the truck.

Yep, open headers, and drive it around the block a couple times every other day.
Maybe put a BIG train horn on it and give "Management" a big long toot as you drive by, or better, as you turn around in their driveway.

If it runs and drives, and is licensed, I wouldn't think they can do much about it since it is not truly "inoperable".

Glad I dont have to deal with HOA stuff.

I'm not understanding what the nature of their complaint is exactly. Are they worried that it is inoperable, or that it has exceeded their undisclosed time limit, or that it is a truck?
You could draw a hand giving them the finger in shoe polish on the windshield.

Is it inoperable? Does it run and is it registered and insured? If not they are just doing their job. When you move into a HOA community you agree to the rules. If you don't want restrictions don't buy a house in a HOA community. If it is legal and runs, every day after work do laps around the HOA president's block for an hour or so and then he may get the message.

Reminds me of the ticket I got from the city of Houston for leaving an abandoned vehicle on a public roadway (I had parked my registered, inspected, insured RUNNING Cherokee in front of my house).

I would not along for 5 minutes in such a place... Appears you'd have to air down the tires to fit it in the garage also. I would daily drive it with loud exhaust until I got another letter, then give them the first one back where they say it's inop. Maybe move it every day for a week, take dated pics every time it's moved along with a pic of current plates on the truck.
