    steering wheel removal?

Any tips on pulling the wheel off the splines without tearing the whole column up/off? Special tool required? Going to replace the turn signal switch/harness and see if this solves my electrical gremlin.....

you need a wheel/balancer puller DO NOT use a hammer or you will be replacing the column

if you are going deeper into it then you need a compressor tool for the lock plate

both tools should be about ~15 bucks apiece - dont try and remove the plate without it as you can end up silly looking and seriously hurt

you may be able to rent them for ten a piece - but whats the point?

If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

I used the puller in reverse to depress the lock plate.

Don't forget the pivot pin remover if you're going that deep, too.
