    Uninvited house guests....sheesh

    So yesterday this showed up

My mom bought it and shipped it to CA from AZ.
50k survivor in fairly decent shape.
Needs some things but kinda looking forward to having it around?
Owned a 5.0 back in the 90s fun little cars. Sadly this one is not a 5spd

I had a black on black with red interior 87 in the 90s. What a fun car. Especially on 103 octane.

A buddy of mine had one in the late 80's. An 87 or 88 I think. He thought it was the fastest thing around till he met the Buick Grand National I had at the time. Pretty equal cars actually. They were both fast for their day.

Should be a fun ride. There's lots of aftermarket "go-faster" parts available for it.
A buddy of mine had bought a new 1990 Ford Thunderbird 35th Anniversary Super Coupe back in 89. It was equipped with the supercharged 3.8-liter V-6 and 5 speed. He let me drive it.

        Boy was it fast.

It is an unmolested low mileage(50K) survivor and won't be getting any aftermarket stuff.
Just find/fix any issues and keep it good for my mom when she visits.
It scoots along nicely enough as it is. Especially for a 70+ yr old haha.
Kind of an investment for her as they seem to be pulling in good $$ now.

Already have a laundry list of things it needs.
It is 30yrs old so to be expected.
I think she got a great deal on it though.

I used to have one JUST LIKE THAT!
Well except mine did have the 5 speed.

It was so much fun putting the top down in Tempe, AZ and heading home to SD after finals or on breaks.

              Did really good burnouts too!

I had one of these 6 months ago picked it up for $4200 Black with Gray interior, 5.0 with a 5 speed. I did a couple add ons and it was a blast to drive! Just sold it for $7000, I loved it they are so fun! Wishing now I didn't sell it
They are good as is, my mods were very small, these 302s are super torquey.

                        That literally made me laugh!

I prefer the hatch back over the convertible but who can scoff at top down weather! Good looking car!

What a weird little cowinky dink! I just this week bought an 80's fomoco car too! Mine's a low mileage (95K) luxury barge in all original shape. Needs a lot of maintenance though. All fluids, 25 yo tires, door that wont open, but other than that, a minty for living in my town since brand new! No real rust! So unusual for ME! lol
Mines got the 5.0, but its the "lo-po" version... Still managed to squawk them tires though with the torque it's got!

That's a nice little stang man. 4 lug wheels throw me off though... I thought V8 cars always got the 5 lug? Luggage strips are also an interesting option. hmm. Useful though. Bet it moves nicely, what year is it? If I re-call correctly I think 1986 and up HO 5.0 put out 225 hp and 300ftlb, that's a good deal of power for that small/light of a car. That's got to be FUN!

I believe you're right with '86 and on, those are also the fuel injection over the carb. They are great burn out cars!

If memory serves, all foxbody mustangs were 4 lug wheels regardless of engine, mine was at least and it was a '93. Makes it a pain to try to find wheels without swapping axles.
