I'm looking to put a rear gas tank in my waggy. I'd like to use either an rear F150 or blazer tank. Was just at the local picknpull yesterday and there is a plethora of blazer tanks. I know these tanks are popular for the EFI swap guys but anyone use one with a stock carb and know if a compatible sending unit?

Never used one but I'd suspect if it came off an EFI vehicle and has an in-tank pump you'll need a pressure regulator or swap to a different pump. You'll have to dig up the fuel gauge specs from the donor vehicle. Your 89 FSJ gauge requires a sender that reads high ohms full (88) and low ohms empty (0).joe

Don't know if you saw this but this is how I did mine
did it for a couple of reasons.... 1. capacity/range 2. Baffled tank, running EFI with an in tank pump, baffles are better! fuel gauge sender: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cin-sn39/overview/ 32 gallon tank designed for a 91 full size blazer, picks kind of tell all and yes, those are hockey pucks used for spacers...Member, FSJ Prissy Restoration Association
