But I thought there is a compatibility issue with the new rubber compounds and the old air? Won't it cause the tires to degrade?

NO! newer tires are made of better quality materials than ever before - they tolerate ozone and pollutants from new and old air ever better than before.

What is nice about my OEM air is that it has fewer pollutants and if you care to mix it with a 50/50% mix of nitrogen like the race drivers do, your tires will not change pressure readings depending on how hot and cold they are ( within reason)

So you are saying this air has a different mixure than the air we breathe

79.% nitrogen, 20% oxygen, 1% argon

So if we mix it with a 50/50% mix of nitrogen, it would give us less nitrogen.

Its to early for this, my brain is full

Not if your Jeep tires were filled up in Beautiful, Down-Town Burbank, California. In the mid 1970s it looked like Victorian-era England, full of cloudy, murderous SMOG! Now days, due to massive clean-air EPA activism and strict government mandated pollution controls...I'm told that occasionally one gets a rare glance of the surrounding Hills!

Thanks to the mandated Catalytic convertors installed on every vehicle made since 1979, which turns invisible Carbon Monoxide into terrible, foggy Water Vapor and poisonous Carbon Dioxide, Today's air is cleaner than ever before! Except you still cant see the hills through the "Greenhouse Gases".

Stupid EPA.
