First camping trip in the wagoneer. We ran up old stage road out of colorado springs, turned at the rock sprayed "peach" and got the wagoneer it's first taste of real off road driving. Things learned on the trip...
1. I'm not happy with the oil pressure at lower rpms.. it gets right around 20 or lower... close to 40 when cruising with higher rpms....
2. stock roof rack, is in name only. I need a proper safari rack stat.
3a. Stutter bumps on dirt roads will rattle EVERYTHING that can possibly be loose. I lost my exhaust from the cat to the tip, it's now tied on the roof rack.
3b. A 360 with basically headers is really LOUD and irritates the golfers at the Broadmoor on a Sunday morning..
4. The 4wd system works great even 4 low.
5. The wagoneer is a beast, I followed a buddies lifted little cherokee pretty well being stock..
6. I want more practice off roading
7. I'm now hooked.
So yea 2 adults, 2 toddlers, and 3 70 pound dogs all went camping this weekend in one wagoneer. We carried all of the necessities for 4wd camping and packed it all back out. Great time had by all.
