Tailgate switch : For the record

Ok, Just finished fixing the tailgate window switch on my GW.

The plastic switch piece was broken.

The window switch for the back side windows is an exact match / direct replacement (except its chrome) It plugs right in, and everything works, including the dash switch.

I did hit it up with a bunch of dialectric grease, as I don't know if the side switches are as watertight as the old switch.

Good to know there is a commonly available replacement!
Another thing to watch with the back switch are the contacts in the plug. These can get bent open from ham fisted removal. Even current from the front switch goes through the plug on the rear switch, so bad contacts there can effect both switches.

The flipper is shorter but still works good. I have one on my 87.
