Has anyone replaced the electric window system in the Kaiser Jeeps 68 69 70 Wagoneers with a manual crank roll down system from the later 1974 and up?
Can I replace the electric rear window with this ?

You can, but I don't recommend it. I installed one in my 71 and it was poorly made and rolled down on its own while driving. The lock cylinder wouldn't go into the hand crank because it was assembled and riveted wrong. If you can get an electric motor, the relay set-up that a lot of people use it not that difficult and works great.

poorly made china stuff
several folks claim the handle splines/regulator shaft strip easily.
find a good auto electric shop to rebuild the motor
or, update to a 79-newer regulator/motor.
minor wiring changes but easier to find than early motorTony

I second this opinion. I am currently rebuilding a tailgate motor for a customer for a 70 Wagoneer. I have had to fabricate quite a few parts for it. And I haven't been able to find another motor that is that style. I am almost finally done rebuilding it. It has been a long process with all these shipping issues, everything being on back-order and all the fab work involved that I would normally not do on a tailgate motor. But I was curious about this one and how it worked, because it was the first one I have worked on that was this style. Not going to lie. It has been much more of a challenge than I originally expected, but I am hard-headed and am not going to let it beat me.
I am also doing a tailgate regulator/motor/switch/wiring assembly conversion for someone with the 76 style to a 79 and newer version.

Does this one look like the one to make work ?

This looks similar. I wonder if it will bolt up to the 1970 one that I have if I remove the motor from this one to make it work on mine. I have decided to just run a large power wire back to the motor and only connect the key/switch in the rear so I can eliminate the switch and circuit breaker piece at the dash.
I just need to match a motor up. Would this work ? It is a 1980 version.1970 Wagoneer Custom (9/1969)
