    Cadillac Calipers

Hello again everyone. I have a question regarding the Cadillac brake calipers so once again I am looking for help / info.

I am almost done my Dana 60 rear disc brake conversion, and had originally intended on running the Chevy 3/4 ton calipers and hardware at all four corners. BUT now I am being told by my insurance company that the Jeep will not pass insurance inspection with an ebrake installed. (thought I would install a transfer case brake eventualey)

So it is time for plan B - using the Cadillac calipers with the ebrake levers on them. On the Virginia 4x4 website, fantastic product and people by the way, they list the 1978 Eldorado caliper as an option for the brackets but wouldnt the calipers up to the mid 80s work as well?

I would think they would all be the same but hoping you folks can shed some light on the situation.

There are large calipers and small calipers.

So you need to use what your brackets are designed to use.

From '79-up, the Eldorado/Toronado/Riviera used a brake caliper that is much smaller than the 3/4-ton caliper; only the calipers up to '78 will bolt on to a bracket designed to work with the 3/4-ton caliper.
