    Holley Truck Avenger Secondary Springs

What color spring do you have for your secondarys? Just bought a spring kit and will be playing with them today.

    Which engine do you have? 258? 304? 360? 401?

    I'm assuming 360.

When I ran my 360 with a 670CFM TA, I ran one step up from stock though I can't remember the color. I'm not sure what effect your cam has on vacuum but that wouldn't be a bad place to start

I'm not looking for the fake wow. The big rush when the secondaries kick in.

Had the plain in. Never heard anything when I steped on it. Smooth acceleration.

Changed to one step down, purple spring. Smooth acceleration. Then at higher rpms heard a swoosh swoosh sound but still smooth execleration. Wishing I had a tach.

Changed to tall yellow. Accelerated smoothly. Felt secondaries kick in. Then heard Swoosh.

Anyone know what the swoosh sound is? I have to think it's something with the vacuum.

          What I learned:
          A) Go with the purple spring.
          B) Have very good power since the rebuild.
          C) Still not a hot rod.
          D) Don't lay arm on heater box after running around in the jeep. OOoouuch!

You may leave the temple, now, Grasshopper.

I have a few brands like that, too.

            Thanks for the test results!
