If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

Don't forget to follow the instructions and install the heat shield underneath, as well as using a bathtub type intake gasket. If you don't you will get all kinds of blow bye due to oil being pulled up thru the PVC hose.

I could not find the Edelbrock or jeep grommet, but my local parts store had a generic (read no official part#) that worked just fine.

Isn't that a new manifold? there should be a little bag with some. If not just use some very short(1/4") sheet metal screws to attach it, then either epoxy or tack weld them to the pan after tightening them so they won't back out and fall in the engine. I know I said it before but don't forget to use the full pan intake gasket.

Indeed it is new, straight from Edelbrock/Jegs. No bag came with the intake, just the directions saying what should have been in there

Gonna have to call them tomorrow and halt any and all progress tonight, crap Great Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley MoogleyGreat Googley Moogley
