well

I thought about buying them & bought a dome light similar to the way they are built the next thing I knew the bulbs started going out & the are not really replaceable. I decided against them & bought the standard 1157 led bulb & am very happy I didn't do the circuit boards. After thinking of the burn out & circuit board corrosion I'm real happy with my decision. My entire rig is LED now amber fronts etc & the sides are t-9 it's cool.

I installed them into the beater and into my GW. They don't include the lens, as you reuse yours. It's a circuit board with LED's and wiring, and you install them into your existing housings.

Our LED taillights have a lifetime warranty. So it probably isn't fair to compare our US made LED's to some cheap (probably overseas) LED dome light board.

I installed them in my GW, They have a multi flash when you first hit your brakes.
This get the person eating your dust attention. This can be change
IIRC by cutting a wire.

They are not plug and play, You remove the two upper lamp sockets
You drill one hole in the back of the housing for a single bolt.
I soldered and used heat shrink tubing to attach the old lamp wiring.
I use silicone (RTV) for a new gasket to seal the lens

I think you have to remove the inner access panel (were the jack is).

Yup, You have to remove the cargo panels. There are two nuts (IIRC 1/2")
one top and bottom of the housing.

I used them on mine and loved them. Also my taillights were in good shape ,but faded. I scotch brighted them and cleared them when I painted my GW. They look brand new now.Just wish I could find some gaskets. I used silicone for now.

Our (I should say mine) vehicles & the tailight housing just doesn't seem like a good place for circuit boards. I guess the lifetime warantee is ok. I'm just not into sending them back & all the hassle & downtime of the rig to work the warrantee. I can replace all of my tailights for the cost of shipping. Right then right there. I've gotten out of tickets by repairing on the spot. Led technology & quality has come way down in cost over the last few years. But that's just me. To each his own. I have back up bulbs for every light in the rig. I did repair the dome light with good lamps. Inside the cab I'm good with PC boards. Not as critical. Just my way & opinion. I love & support BJ's this product isn't for me. When I lose a tailight I want it fixed right then. I use my rig to go to the lake house & pull the boats. The small towns Like Gun Barrell city are not forgiving on violations. I am an Led fan & if you sold regular lamps where I could buy back up that would be different. I understand the diff between chinese junk LEDs & american ones. I don't have any prob with the quality of your product just the design. I also have the flasher on mine.
I can buy a lot of 1157/1156/t-9's lamps for $95.00 by the time I get them here. Every light in my vehicle is led. The entire vehicle was less than half the cost of just tailights. Well with exception of my Headlights which are HID. No offense TPI. BTW on your advertisement for them it doesn't take less voltage to operate, it take less amperage. Incandescent bulbs will operate on voltages down to 2 volts just not very bright. As long as there is voltage to an incadescent bulb it will burn to some extent. They'll also burn at higher voltages without damage.

Some rigs will need an electronic flasher for these Or any LED also. If you led doesn't flash then go to an auto supoply & get an electronic flasher & they'll work fine.
