    Quick 85 Grand Wagoneer Question

I recently bought a 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with the 360. On the back of the wagoneer it says "Select Trac" and has the 4wd vacuum switch below the dash, and the HI / LO selector below the drivers seat.

Question one is: Is this the NP229 part-time transfer case?

Question two is: After a snow when there is some snow and some dry spots in the road is it ok to drive in 4wd-HI?

Question three is: What type of fluid should go into the transfer case when I change it?

Thanks so much in advanced, guys and girls!

    1. Yes, the 85 "SelecTrac" is an NP229 (I had an 85 once...)
    2. You can drive in 4hi anytime, dry, wet, etc. The 229 can be run safely in all road conditions due to the limited slip viscous coupler in the tcase.
    3. Dexron III ATF
Broken Photobucket image in my post? PM me.
