Timing questions

Hey its me again got a question or 2, on the harmonic balancer which mark is the timing mark? the long mark that runs the width of the balancer or the short stubby mark closest to radiator? Thanks again.

Thanks L', i got it timed but i cannot read my timing cover,so i set it between 5-10 degrees( I think) and i still get pinging when under aload should io go farther back?
