Yea, member's didn't know how serious I was when lookin for Glad. Shoulduda posted rig pics but didn't know how- still don't fully. I've been addicted to 4x4 building as long as I can remember. This belt routing for ac & ps is gettin old. I'm at point of buyin whole dang rig just get engine pulleys! Must of been several versions for 327? Prob need to join Rambler forum.

I believe this when it comes to accessories. The 327 I had when I was young and even more stupid was pretty plain with just an alt & water pump on it. Inline PVC from carb to the intake valley was about the only thing hooked up to it for breathing besides the vacuum advance and heater box. It was a fun engine. Made the Ambassador turn heads.

This is from a 65 Rambler Marlin. That is the same PS pump I sent you pix for. All steel mounting bracket for this design.

      Another 327 but w/2bbl in a 66 Gladiator.

And it was all red back then for the best Rambler V8s.

Just put a straightedge across the respective pulleys and see which crank groove they point to.
You already know that the alternator, and water pump go to one groove. Then you can see in the pic here that the AC and PS have thier own belts, so just line 'em up with the crank, if you put a belt on the wrong groove you should be able to tell with a straight edge. This pic looks like it's the PS at the front groove, then the AC and then the alternator (with the AC and alternator running off the water pump pulley also, or is there an idler in there for the AC belt and it engages or clears the water pump pulley?).

          Red 327

That RED Glad engine pic boosted my spirits up, Thanks. Study the ebay motor shots of this wag and then super wag. I've got the steel Eaton PS mount and aluminum mount. Must have wrong pulley somewhere cause crank pulley has 3 grooves. PS & AC tryin to use same groove. The idler arm wants different groove. Alt is fine. One of the ebay looks to have different idler arm (cast bracket) than the bent steel one I have.

yeah it's pretty obvious in that pic the crank pulley is a 3 groove, the way the belts go. Hopefully you find the right bracket! Sure there's one out there!

I'll put out an apb on this for you, try to get some pics or schematics for you. My '67 parts list shows the air pump set up but not the AC or PS.

Might want to scrap that AC in favor of room to install a turbo/nitrous though...

Looking at this three groove crank pulley belt arrangement it would appear that 1) there is a spacer added to the PS mounting, which may or may not have anything to do with adjustment for pulley groove selection, and 2) the innermost groove is unused so possibly that is where the AC or air pump (or combination of AC/air pump) would run off of:

Those pics are from a '67 Gladiator. The PS and AC/idler are all on the same belt with the alternator/water pump taking a second pulley groove. The third groove musta been for the air pump. Got it now?

He might just have to space his idler out to line up with the front crank groove, may have been like that and the guys that sent him the parts left the spacer out...
