Rocklaurence J10 J20 tow hitch 2" receiver

Rocklaurence Vintage Auto Parts now has new Heavy Duty tow hitches for sale. They are built from 1/4" tube and 3/8" plate and I believe a better/stronger unit than what Reese or Draw-tite used to sell. I apologize for the pictures and will have better ones up soon. Free shipping in lower 48 for IFSJA members that buy. Check them out!! note: I made a minor change to the design to improve the strength and allow it to fit with the OEM rear step bumper.

The picture above is the new design.

Nice! It allows you to keep the spare underneath. On my '73 J4000 the 2 1/4" Class 5 receiver went up the middle of the rear and the spare was mounted on a cheesy tire holder in front (that was laying in the box when I got the truck. Broken from flexing)

I have an Ebay store but PM me on this sight.
--Also, I believe the frames changed in '76. So, these will fit '76-'87.

Awesome! Glad to see a new hitch option for the J Trucks. One of these may find it's way on my truck when I get back to CONUS in June.

Buyer #9 here. Very satisfied with the product, especially compared to the Valley hitch I removed. All my questions were promptly answered, shipping was quick, and installation would've been a breeze if my Craftsman drill didn't release its magic white smoke.

The stuff on the new hitch is just the glue he used to keep it in place during shipping. It peeled right off, and the packaging was definitely sufficient. As for the horrible angle on the old hitch, it pivoted sharply the first time I tried to back up a trailer and sent the tongue into the gravel. I don't see that being an issue with the new hitch from Rocklaurence. The only problem I ran into is the exhaust routing, but that simply created an excuse for duals.

No problem! Here's one more since I used it today.

(I know the weight distribution is horrible. It was a short drive on back roads, and I didn't load it up. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!)
