What is this part and where can I get one

What is this part does and anyone know where I can get one. Is it just a spacer? How thick is it if I need to make one?

Post #11 See picture of trans mount and torque stud. Part reference #18.200-5
    Apparently part number 5358877
Does someone have a picture, diagram or can explain how the torque arm is installed? I never had one on my waggy and bought the bushings and bolt to install it. I am just not sure how it goes on. Thanks!!

They are not selling the part I listed in my post though. The part I?m asking about is the Flat spacer looking thing. Is it rubber or metal and how thick is it? Just wondering if anyone has that part laying around or if they knew dimensions so I could copy it.

I would leave it out but parts are usually there for a reason.

If the diagram is to scale (doubtful), it looks like about 1/8" to me. What I would suggest, however, is to throw an angle finder on your valve cover and see what angle everything is at now. The only thing that spacer is going to do is tip the engine up or down a bit (by its inclusion or lack thereof). If you think you have too much tilt on the engine, add a small spacer. From the diagram, though, it's between metal and metal, so it really doesn't appear to offer any other purpose.

Make it or get one from a wreck. Such stuff that does not wear out is not going to be available aftermarket.

Jake's will probably sell you one, if you are unable to make the part. Though if it's specific to the 258, they may not have one.

Generally the drawings are pretty accurate. I would measure the needed width and length from the parts you have, and make one from a piece of 3/16" thick mild steel strap from Home Depot or wherever. Looks simple to me.

Sounds good, I may just make one. I didn?t know if it was somehow rubber or some odd material. Thanks for all the help. If I come up with an original, I?ll list the dimensions here.
