Question

I was wondering if I hooked one of those vacuum tanks for the heater up to my emergency drive vac source. Would it give it increased vac. when I need to use the E-drive? Is there any bad effects to this?

I wouldn't think it'd make much difference. The vac resevoir is just that...a resevoir. It doesn't increase vacuum it just stores a supply of it. It doesn't take much to shift the x-case. If yours isn't working very well I'd start with replacing the rubber hoses to the x-case. You may just have a small vac leak. Oil splashed on the lower end of the hose has a tendency to eat the rubber.

That's how mine is hooked up. I do not have in my front driveshaft yet and have had mine locked in e-drive for about a month now and have not had any problems.
