Interior ideas / colors ...

Hi everyone,

Finally got the Cherokee painted the colors I wanted and now I'm thinking interior. I need some help with something that would be right with the period/style of my '76 Cherokee S.

Everything needs reupholstering so I'm open to color ideas. The dash/steering column as you can see it's that brown/tan color. I guess I could paint it but if prefer not.

I was thinking a light tan for the carpet and headliner with darker tan/leather looking seats.

Thought? Suggestions?

I would look into some of those native Indian blanket patterns or possibly a tan and blue plaid insert

Black goes with everything. It is also way to color match. I say back with blue stitching and some white accents here and there... but I have a TERRIBLE eye for design...

Im with Full Size Jeeper, I think the Indian blanket with brown or tan vinyl (or leather) would look great!

I'm also in favour of the Indian Blanket pattern. If my rig is worthy as in after I do the body and get the drivetrain in, my plan is pretty much copy this rig in colour and style. With the blue paint job (nice) if you could get that colour some how matched to the Indian blanket style it would be a show stopper! Ah man I so want you to do that.

To be clear, The blue and brown do not go together that well. But if you can bring in some color from the outside, the tan or brown makes more sense with some color inserts in the seats. Maybe the same insert on the bottom of the door panels instead of the brown carpet. Then the dash and pad can stay original. My two cents.

That's my concern. Found a couple ideas online. I was thinking the headliner would bring it all together.

This might be a bit too much for yours but this is what I did to mine. It was a special edition Pendelton Native American blanket. I did my visors in it as well. With people mentioning going in that way thought I would give you an idea of what it could look like.
