Well I've done it now! New FSJ owner.

Just nabbed this '78 Cherokee on Ebay. Been looking for a solid FSJ for a long time, here in the North East it's tough to find. This one looks very solid, and the price wasn't out of control like some of them are lately, about $15k (although I still remember these selling for $5k restored not that many years ago...). I'll find out the true condition when it arrives but hoping for the best.

Currently own a 2001 XJ (photo below) but always wanted a full size Cherokee, so I'm thrilled that I'm finally an FSJ owner! Here's a photo of the Cherokee:

And here's one of my '01 XJ:

Thanks guys! 360, automatic. The '99 is auto also. Really wanted a 5 speed but couldn't pass it up because it was so clean. I hope the '78 is as good as it looks too! Hoping to get it shipped to the east coast some time next week.

You could always fly out and drive it back to find out.

Looks like somewhere in the Great Basin from the pic. Where you buy it from?

Good eye, he's in Vegas but the pics could be the Great Basin. Driving was an option but just don't have the time for this one. I've done Alabama to NY in a '56 Plymouth wagon, and Indiana to NY in a '67 Corvair over the last few years, wish I could do this one too!
