    New Jeeper from Belgium

    Hello,
some time ago a came along a Cherokee Chief at an auction.
These are not common in Europe, and i was intrigued with it. I didn't buy it because it was too expensive for a pile of rust. But it made me browse the internet for one of these, and look, finally i got mine.
The guy i bought it from had invested a lot of time and money in a never ending cash eater, and a leaking brake caliper was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Now it is starting to eat my cash: put on 16" alloys with Goodrich K02's and just ordered a Skyjacker 4" lift kit.
After that maybe some lockers and engine mods.
I wish to thank you guys for posting all this useful information that has helped me a lot on making choices and getting to know my Jeep.

                Hello,
flares are original, but i think the previous owner cut the rusted parts on the botttom.

Don't know but a "guess" would be member here Sportside Dan(?) in Belgium. Don't know if he buys, restores and sells or just buys "really" clean ones to start with and just restores for personal use, but he sure has some gorgeous FSJ's. Haven't seen a post of his on here for awhile but "think?" Dan resides in Belgium. If he is the guy even if he doesn't restore to sell he would be a fun guy to meet and see his rigs.

Yes this must be the Guy. I googled this sportsidedan and found his e-mailadres on a Dutch Jeep forum. I will post him a message.
                            thanks Joe

He seems to be also related to the italian website grandwagoneer.it or to "jeep heritage" on FB, some gorgeous unmolested examples or restorations there.
