bad wood

I just found this and to share it... site says the vehicle was repainted and sold for$3100.

I can see why. Oh my god, that wood looks as sad as the guy driving it.

If it was shelf contact paper, I think it would have looked better, because at least you know it went on quick... this, someone had to work to make it look this bad.

I think it's the missing trim that makes it look so lame. I hope someone went to home depot and got some door casing to replace it...

What looks so bad about it? While its not my cup of tea its not that bad looking.
Add the trim it might look better. $3100 with a fresh paint job not too bad i think.

Im kind of in the same boat fresh paint job now i need to replace wood and trim I hope my vinyl comes out that straight but a little closer to original style

Just my 2 cents

different

I thinki it just looks "odd" because we're use to seeing the border on the woodgrain. I think the earlier thin strip would've looked better...Del

I like it myself. The early Wagoneers with full wood had no surrounding trim, just a black edge that was part of the vinyl. Those would be 75 Customs.

A PRIS Miss

Not worthy of the FSJ-PRIS tag.

Here's another option,

the Caribbean (pirates of, that is)...

Although not my taste, I think it does show some amazing talent and effort

I think the pic would have turned out better if taken in sunlight. The fluorescent lights and that awful magenta drapery whacked the camera's white balance. I also prefer the thin strip, and also the edge needs to be there. Still, not a bad job.
