Engine rebuild help in Eastern VA

So I'm considering an engine rebuild on my 88 GW -- Its my daily driver, but I'm off for the next month. It's not something I think I can take on in my driveway...

Anyone know of any good engine shops, that won't brake the bank, in the Hampton Roads area? Or perhaps you may know some guy that rebuilds engines in his backyard garage?

Any help would be much appreciated.
