    1976 Wagoneer - Jason Rye

My name is Jason Rye and I'm in the Air Force. I bought this 1976 Wagoneer just over a year ago for $1,000. Now I'm begining the lengthly task of fixing all the quirks that the previous owner gave up on. The past year I've gone thru 3 starters and 2 flex plates due to alginment problems. I think I finally fixed that problem and I'm on to the next stage. I've replace the battery, cables, starter, flex plate, cap & rotor, coil, wires &plugs, votage regulator, ignition switch, tires and the solenoid. This weekend I'm rebuilding the carb. I plan on having the dual exhaust redone before August. Then my Dad will drive it until I return from my !yr tour in Korea. Then I'll rebuild the motor (It has 185,000 miles so far) and install a 3-4" lift. Of course we all know that knowone actually finishes "fixing up" their FSJ and I wouldn't have it any other way!
