    Early Gladiator Radiator

My trucks original radiator blew a core over the weekend. I'm looking at Champion radiator CC441 but the year listing on the unit is for 71-79.

Can anyone tell me dimension and mounting flange wise is it drop in for the early radiator? Outlets do not matter because my truck has a LSX swap so I have to move the lower outlet anyways.

I would fix my original but its already been patched at three times now and I'd rather just replace it at this point.

'71-79 is for the 360 engine. IIRC '80-on is the same except for the overflow outlet direction.

There are purpose-made radiators for the SBC swap available from BJ's and likely from other places. http://www.bjsoffroad.com/Radiators_c_56.html I don't know if the core support for the 350 has the same radiator width as the later 360 core support, but it likely does. The 6-cylinder wagons have a narrower radiator (left to right), but I expect the V8s are all the same in this dimension.

Why don't you measure the core support yourself and compare to the radiator specs? Measure and post the numbers here. I would be happy to take a tape to my J-truck and see if the bay in the core support is the same size.

Or, you could use those measurements and buy a hot rod radiator that's the right size from somewhere like Summit Racing. https://www.summitracing.com/search/...rder=AscendingThen you will get a choice of outlet locations too.

The radiator shop that moved the outlet on the original for me wants to look at it before I just junk it so ill let them do so...

Honestly I was just being a bit lazy with no measuring and hoping it would be a easy yes or no if they were the same. No big deal though i'll get it pulled out and take some measurements.

        Thanks for the reply's!
