My first FSJ was a 1980 J20. The old truck did great on the test drive, but on the way home the transmission lasted me 5 miles, and the ignition lasted me 10. It was a rough craigslisting day 
. After having it sit at the farm for a year or two I finally sold it. With all of the rust issues it had, blown transmission and high miles, I didn't want to throw money at it.
My J20 is long sold, but now I'm back in the market. I have a kid these days so a Wagoneer is going to be my next toy purchase.
There are big ambitions to do an LS swap/resto mod and have it be my daily driver, but that is way down the road. I have already been lurking around for a while, and I look forward to learning more.
