• FINALLY!!! W/T Flare progress on my waggie ( pics)

I have finally got past the point of no return!!

It is turning out really good, but VERY time consuming!!! Its alot fo tedious work and cut- measure-cut and repeat... but its gonna be worth it in the end...

Here is the prepwork...

The primary cut....

This is where I had to really take my time... the waggie 'flared molding' that normally sits just to the rear of the door had to be replaced with the W/T portion without the flared molding look... this is the W/T piece I used to recreate the panel and W/T mold to fit on RB

After I got the lower section done with the W/T panel and notched the lower corner of the door, I flanged the body panel to accept the flare...

Here is the flare held in by clamps for a test fit... I am taking a break right now... been at it since 6am... 11 hours straight... I have to weld all the panels and tack in the flare afterwards.. then seal the wheelwell up....

NOW QUIT BUGGIN ME!!!! j/k

I'm POOPED!!!!

I know the saying is, measure twice, cut once, but sometimes you have to cut once, and the welder or torch can take care of the rest!. I now figure, if I cut to much, I must not need it. LOL Looks good, hope everything turns out well! Dennis

Very nice Todd!
Jeez I remember when you started this. I didn't think you'd get that clean looking of a fit and still have the rear doors functional w/o splitting the flare and mounting part to the door or having the rears doors inop w/o serious work. You did the serious work!
I stand humbled...but in awe. You talented people 'are' humbling ya know.
You do realize of course in the future RB is going to have the same effect or more so than that Jeep dealers/farmed out Wag(Brian Chiapas?) w/flares picture so common on the net had.
"Yeah Bubba you can add WT flares to a 4 door Wag. I saw a Wag called RiverBeast and he added flares to a Wag. No prob they'll fit...bolt right up...I seen it on the internet!"
Again...nice job!
