Anybody keep the cruise with their TBI??

Going thru my harness, realized I didnt keep the cruise module.

So if I get one and wire it in can I make use of the factory switch in the column of a '78 that had cruise?

Working on this makes my head hurt, but I'm getting there, I hope.

Not sure what you are asking?
Cruise has nothing to do with the TBI harness
On the 7427 there is feedback for a cruise signal (adjust shift points), but I don't have mine hooked up yet because I have not figured out how to send the correct signal from my aftermarket cruise.
Don't recall if the 7747 has a signal wire from the cruise or not, but on my truck still running that I have the factory cruise, and no connection between the 2.

Factory cruise and TBI don't even use the same pulse signal on the VSS (there are a couple people playing with options)

I retained the stock (1983 Cherokee) cruise control. It works better with the TBI than it did with the carb. It engages quicker and holds speed better, especially up grades.

I got the speed sensor from Just Jags and wired it into the TBI harness.

Does the cruise control switch or portion on steering column for 1981 or thru to 1983 replace the standard turn signal arm on the column?
        like

Just replace the standard turn signal arm with the one pictured and wire it in along with all the othe stuff under the hood etc - thinking of retro-fitting

Didn't realize the cruise wasn't tied in in the TBI harness. Always assumed it was, and just got cut out on most swaps for simplicity.

          Thanks guys,

            badaboom,

The cruise controls are integrated into the turn signal stalk on my "83 as pictured.

            blazer3664,

The TBI harness I used had the cruise control circuit included. It was just a one wire and one ground connection.
