Yes, I put the new poly tank in with a new sending unit and hoped that would fix the problem but the gauge was still wonky. Changing out the gauge with the replacement I got from JSinajeep fixed it finally!

Fuel gauge....... works 100%

Oil pressure gauge..........20psi @ idle / 40 psi at 2500 rpm

Amps hold steady at 40 (not sure that works right)

Temp. gauge works correctly

Speedometer works

What else can I ask for?

Not right!!!!!!

Amps should zero. ZERO!!!

That's a Danger Danger Will Rogers big time.

Note which way it reads, charge or discharge, and then shut it OFF.
Turn key to run or accessory without starting and quickly not what it shows.
Shut it off.

Time to trouble shoot.

It will read that with a discharged battery and or right after cranking till the battery is charged. Was it reading this after a fully charged battery and running for awhile?
