Der Kaiser Jeep is a modified restoration of a Jeep J truck. Purchased from a rancher in Blanco Texas, the truck's origins are that of a US Forest Service Truck. Der Kaiser Jeep's chassis is a 1976 J20, four speed T-18A manual transmission with a 360ci V8 engine. The grill and side mirror are that of a 1965 Gladiator while the badges are those of a 1972 J4000. Mounted to the factory bumper is a WARN M8274 winch.
