There is much discussion about trucks with brows and trucks without. What is / was the intent of the brow? Design flare or was there a function? How come the wagged didn't have them? Was it a carry over for
Kaiser?
Browed was natural Neanderthal way of things then some engineer at AMC had a briliant brain storm to save MPGs in 1980 and the 81-88 models are shaved.
If you look at old ads, the early ones for Waggy's are geared towards women. The truck ads were geared towards men. Brow looks more masculine. Anyone who says otherwise is a sissy.

To me from looking at my waggy to the j20 it makes for a much better masculine look!!! Plus, it makes it look bigger, and on the 81-88 models it just looks like somethings missing Qiu it being that wide

As long as there is the four letter word "JEEP" in the front, it don't matter.

That's true. I have a sleek and aerodynamic '97 Buick Riviera. I use rain-x and when it rains, you can see the raindrops slide gracefully over the windshield.
In my J300, it looks like there is a mini storm right in front of the windshield!
The brow has the all important function of ensuring the windshield will leak. The brow enables the water to stay in the wind vortices for full force saturation.
