Last week I ordered the anti-squeak insert pads for my stock leaf springs. Unfortunately they are clearly meant for a slightly smaller hole than the ones on my 1977 leaf springs. There may have been a change on these springs in 1979. Have any of you purchased pads for your pre-1979 FSJ leaf springs?

They have elongated holes. The original pads were 7/16" x 11/16". the replacements sent were 3/8" x 5/8". My Cherokee is a 1983, but I noticed when I pulled the springs they had salvage yard paint pencil markings that said "1977" Cherokee on them.1983 Cherokee Laredo "Gus"
