List of things to do before Moab

Hey gang. What does everyone have to do before Moab? My list is as follows;

Finish fuel injection install
Hoping to get hydro assist installed
Change out two worn out tie rod ends
install new chevy 63 rear springs
install new axles on the trailer
Grease all zurks

Mine hasn't really changed lately

Fab front driveshaft
hydro assist welded in
on board air plumbed and installed
bumpers and rocksliders (probably won't get done before Moab)

I may just come up for a day and a night and ride something easy. Any idea on what the 'fun' day/night combo would be?

Poison Spider Trail is a full day and night if you are slow getting to the trailhead then lose the trail markers after dark down around Gold Bar Rim...

I have no list of things to do because when I make a list it just gets longer.

I used to think like that until I did a basic ATTAINABLE goals list before a wheeling trip and it REALLY helped to motivate me because I was able to focus my efforts on those tasks. I try to leave the "wants" off the lists and focus on the "needs" stuff.

I guess I can see your point though since many of your "to do" items would involve quadratrac's! Looking at a list like that would make me depressed... VERY depressed... maybe a list isn't for everyone!

That explains Ouray 2006. Shocks are not on a needs list. Never much considered them a want though .

Attainable Goals for Luna:

• front axel overhaul, knuckle joints, seals, bearings
• DPA
• motor mounts
• tranny mount
• R&R QT (yes, it's true)

Luna Wants list:

• interior carpet ripped out, floor cleaned up and hosed out
• replace carpet
• replace dash
• replace steering column
• replace instrument cluster
• replace wiring harness
• OMG...

Attainable & Wants Goals for Wally:

• ready to rock-n-taco!

confession: The NOS QT goes in Phoebe first, then some troubleshooting on ignition gremlins. Once Phoebe rolls on her own, then start on Luna. I picked up axel joints for her yesterday.
