    New here 71 J4000

Have a awesome old J4000 I'm slowing beginning to build 360 th400 Dana 20 d44 d60 semi float rear. Super clean minus needing floor pans. Got a question about disc brake conversion for the front closed knuckle a axle like donor parts or is it better to just go with a bj off road kit? Thanks

Welcome. I converted my 71 to front disks before the "kits" were widely available in the 90's. Even then the only junkyard parts I used were the backing plates. I used my original hubs but needed to face the back side of the wheel flange, press in new studs, etc... If I had to do it over today, I would probably order a kit.

If the 12" drums you take off are in even close to usable condition don't scrap them, they're currently hard to find.

Welcome! It's always good to see more pickups around here to shore up the numbers a little.

Did you know? Willys is just Willis spelled differently, but pronounced the same. Neither Willy nor his apostrophe are involved.
