Please, I need a reference for a grease gun that can accomodate good grease cartridges and not smear grease all over. Small size is fine, it fits the motos as well.

74 wag, 349Kmiles on original ticker/trany, except for the rust. Will it make it to the next get together without a rebuilt? Status: needs a new body.
85 Gwag, 229 Kmiles. $250 FSJ test lab since 02, that refuses to give up but still leaks.
Not sure if it is what you are looking for, but I bought one from Harbor Freight. It is all metal and I have gone through 2 cartridges with it. It has worked great so far.
One day I will wake up and realize that my jeep is complete...one day, I just know it.
Go to a John Deere dealer or Napa and get the guns with the heavier made tops. I usually buy the JD, but I bought one from Napa not to long ago and it works good. Most on the market suck(made in china POS), Go to where they sell heavy equipment stuff!

I would recommend finding a good quality pistol grip type. Also it is a good idea to have some different type of adapters for the end.
For example I use a very narrow tip to grease the double cardon joint on the front drive shaft and they can be easier to use on the standard fittings on the rear drive shaft (the driveshaft doesn't have to be in an exact spot to access the fitting) along with a 90 degree for other fittings on the steering linkage and every once in a while I have a hypodermic needle type for small projects.

The air guns are good when they are working, but they are expensive and noy reliable. They are a PITA to prime at times and if the grease is below 60 degrees forget it. I have not had good luck with them.
