Stock wheel size, 87 J10 Pioneer longbed

Hi all, I have a lead on some stock FSJ wagon wheels for my J10. I already have a growing collection of wheels so I don't want to buy more that don't fit.

His are 15x8 with a spare 15x7 (total 5 wheels). Seems narrow?

The wheels I'm using aren't stock, I don't think. The offset is different, front vs rear. The rears have a wider track than the fronts, so I can only rotate them right to left. I believe they are aftermarket rims from AR but I'm not sure.

I have a spare set of 3 stock FSJ wagon wheels but those measure 9" across from bead to bead. So those are 15x9?

Does anyone know definitively? I owe him an answer...

    Thanks for any help.

My 1987 window sticker from the dealership says the original tires were 225-75R15. If that helps.

The base wheels are 15x6, 6 on 5.5" circle, and about 3.5" backspacing. Assuming it's a '74 or later J10 and not an earlier J-truck. I don't know what the center hole diameter needs to be exactly. Measure your existing wheels. There may have been 15x8 wagon wheels that year, and likely 16s optional. Depends on the year and model. They are all shown in the '74-80 parts book, available on CD-ROM for under $25 from RockAuto.

9" is not a usual size. Are you measuring from the inside of the bead, where the tire mounts?

        Thanks Tim.

I measured my 3-piece set of Jeep wheels from outside to outside of the beads.

If I'm supposed to measure inside to inside, then mine are 15x8?

(My rollers are 31x10.5x15 tires. Wheel size unknown.)

          NP. Yes, inside to inside.

There are also alloy wheels, 15x7 IIRC. Standard on the GW by '87, probably offered on the J10 too with some sporty package. IME a wide variety of factory and aftermarket tires and wheels were fitted at time of sale, rolled into the sale price (and financing). Where I worked, they'd give some nominal credit for the take-offs, and sell them outright or use them on other needy vehicles.

I know you probably don't need anymore wheels, But I have a couple of the factory solid steel hub cap style 6 lugs, and a couple of the 15x8 FSJ/ Blazer white spoke wheels. I'm in Portland.
