I know this subject has been beat to death..but i am trying to figure out what I have.
I have an 84 honcho sprotside with J20 axles. It was a special order factory deal..the install and mounts all look to be legit. The rear spring packs are an 8 leafer. I am about to SOA and shackle flip...and I'm not sure if I want to use these tired stiff springs, or go 44044s all the way around. This truck has a 5th wheel in the bed, so chances are...the springs have been abused...although they don't ride too bad.
if I go new springs....I'd love to find some double military wrapped 44044 if anyone has seen any (none that I have found yet)...ideas?
