    Hood ornament gasket

    Did they come with a gasket or do you just slam that sucker down on the new paint! Thanks in advance

    Mine has a gasket - you could probably cut one out of thin rubber sheeting.

            I'll post a pic when I get it on. I bought this from a local shop that has a wagoneer that they are parting out. Not perfect but good enough for my rig.

                Did they make early and late style hood ornaments because my hood has factory holes in it, but they are really close together? The ornament I bought has studs that are far apart. what say you.

                  As far as I know, there was only one hood ornament style. It should have three holes. One for each stud, then one for the spring to fit into. The hood ornaments first appeared in 1983 or '84, I believe.
