Did they make early and late style hood ornaments because my hood has factory holes in it, but they are really close together? The ornament I bought has studs that are far apart. what say you.1978 Wagoneer

As far as I know, there was only one hood ornament style. It should have three holes. One for each stud, then one for the spring to fit into. The hood ornaments first appeared in 1983 or '84, I believe.-Jonny B.
