ooh, looks like a pretty good cam choice for a (stockish) application. What else are you doin with the engine? New intake? Stock intake? Carb? FI?

Also, why is does it need rebuilding with only 104K on it? My 90' is just below that and everything is still fine. (other than my damn ignition right now)

Ok, so your basically refreshing/resealing the engine. Cool! Since your putting in that cam, and sticking to a 2150 carb, let us know how it runs and how much more power it has.

I know that if I ever needed to tear the front of mine apart, it would be hard for me to not do the same things you are doing. I would hope though, that there would be a half decent power increase, even with using the original carb/intake/heads/exhaust manifolds.

It?s always possible that there would be a slight leak in the head gaskets, without doing a compression test to see if you were indeed losing compression it?s kind of hard to assume though. If you inspect the gasket and the heads you might be able to pin point if there was a small leak by checking for dis-coloration.

I haven't seen that before but I guess if the gasket failed between 2 cylinders, maybe?
