hoverin around $4.15~$4.25, every once in awhile Ill see $4.08 and Ill quickly jump on it and top off. I get a bout 9~12 MPG depending on what Im doing and have to fill up every 3~4 days. So, 18 gallon tank averages ~$75 every 3~4 days.

sounds like time for a tune-up.
when I bought my truck I got about 6 mpg.
just by a tune-up, related parts, and correct vacuum routing Im now at about 14.

My hats go off to all you people who drive a fsj as DD. I freak with 25-30mpg with my DD

$3.85 a gallon here. If I was worried about the cost of gas, I for sure wouldnt be working on getting my Honcho road ready.

$3.89 here for 87. My '84 GW is my DD. It sucks but I get by on about $80/week in gas.

8MPG? Seriously? That's horrible....rebuild that carb? Probably has a blown power valve?

My '88 lifted with 33's gets way better than that.

I dd my '77 J10. I have a b!ch!n job though. I go 4 miles to the office and take the co. '00 Super Duty with the 7.? diesel and I have a co. gas card. It is quite suprising just how powerfull it is.

I just tried to fill up the J on Mon. My debit has a limit of $75 and that did not fill it up... It was at 4.17 for premium and that was with a 10 cent discount from Safeway.

If it's any consolation, we in AZ get your gas for at least 30 cents cheaper.

I pity the fools who pay 500 a month, plus 200 more in insurance, to get 10 MPG. Unless they work in a cubicle. Then I just point and laugh like:

8MPG thats with a rebuilt carb, new cat, and a tune-up. Although it is time for another tune-up. Probably will just buy a new carb this time.
