New Fuel Cell Sending Unit
I have an aftermarket gauge in my 82 jeep j10 that has dip switch setting to compensate for various sending units. My switch is set to 0-90 (matches my RCI Fuel Cell) and it works fine when bench tested with the sending unit out of the tank and grounded with a jumper. When I move the float the gauge responds appropriately. When I install the sending unit in the cell there is no response. The gauge is at 00. The tank has continuity to ground without an additional ground being attached but either way with a ground attached or not the gauge is at 00. Any ideas?
