My girlfriend wants to leave the trim pieces on... I can't argue with her on it.

well I started her up after the carb rebuild. she started right up, choke worked perfect and she pulled 17 on the vacuum gauge while idling smooth.

Man she runs GREAT after rebuilding the carb! Starts right up runs really smooth.

part number 779-1742 is the ford motocraft 2150 float

part number 96-47A is the ford motocraft 2150 rebuilt kit. I only used a few pieces from this kit.

It only took me about 2 hours for the whole job and was easy to do.

I have had more trouble with electric pumps...never understood why mechanicals were so bad - except for FI necessities.

Hey man - it's all good. I bought a used jeep from ya. I was begging for problems! But yeah, whomever worked on Goofy in the past definitely made mistakes.

Gotta spring for a good pump...knock on wood my loud Holley Red Top has been a champ for years. Plus I can tell from just the change in pitch when its not picking up fuel.

                  Great build, keep her rollin!

Towed the boat about 50 miles today. She runs better without the broken electric fuel pump.

Also installed a new radiator cap part number
10230. This cap works on my chinese aluminum radiator. BTW the engine seems to run at the correct temps.

My girlfriend installed the new BJ's offroad fuel filler lines. They look and fit great!

I noticed that a fuel return hose (I think from the charcoal canister - someone confirm this) was dangerously close to the catalytic converter. It showed signs of getting too hot

So I changed the direction of the little tab on the NP229 transfer case which moved the fuel line 1.5" further from the cat. Also replaced the 5/16th" fuel line and wrapped it aircraft speed tape. I figure that speed tape may help reflect the heat from the cat. I will probably get the exhaust shop to put a heat sheild around the cat later on.

Took a look at the passenger side window to see why it's not working. The motor works fine, but the gear track thingy is broken as seen below.

Any ideas on replacing this? I found it at http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/par...ems/index.html but I am unable to remove that screw which holds the track on. None of my torx or allens fit it...

Think the dremel tool and a flat head screw driver would do the trick if you don't wanna buy new sockets. Looks real good man.
