Randy the problems are a real pain in the butt however we are not going to,let it ruin the trip. Got the new fan in Stinger today and cruising at 80 (75 speed limit) on the freeway things were a okay.

We are in Camp Verde, AZ just a bit south of Sedona and the dang smoke it laying low here too. That makes about 3 weeks of crappy air to breath. Enough already!

Again sorry.

BUT, on the 6.0, Do you think that it maybe a dry crack in one of the heads?
They're aluminum like the block right?

Sorry Errol, nothing recent. I got too busy trying to get ready for this trip to work on the truck.

I suspected a cracked head about a year ago when the heating issue first started. Every test was negative: compression, leak down, not losing fluid, no smoke coming out of exhaust and the oil was fine. Pretty sure it's just inadequate air flow across the tranny cooler, AC condenser, and then the radiator.

Todd as far as we know the house is fine---at least it was when we left. The national forest all around it is still closed but the evacuation notices for the communities have been lifted.
We are headed to Spearfish for a couple of weeks then home. Jeep need to go into the shop. Coach needs to go into the shop and I need my back doctor

Man it's always something, isn't it. I hope you get it all taken care of and some relief for that back. I had my back surgery last Friday and I feel like a new man, waiting on some more tests to get done and I'll head back to do my neck.

That is funny! Good to hear things are calming down some. And you still have a home Frank. Looking forward to seeing more on the truck.

Well 4 days from home now. Truck may have to wait a bit while I effect repairs on Stinger (my LJ). We had a good time wheeling in Moab and South Dakota's Black Hills but it was HARD on the jeep.
