So what made a "Honcho" a "Honcho"?

I see Honchos for sale often and think they look amazing. But I am not sure what makes a J10/J20 a Honcho, other than the stickers. I see Honcho's with Levi's interiors, I see Honchos with non-Levi interiors. I assume the suspensions are the same and most Honcho's I have seen are 360 but assume there were a few 401s made before 79... or was it just stickers? Or is it stickers, V8, Auto, A/C, cruise, different interior options etc. Like chief was over a Cherokee S?

Yep. Just stickers.
Same with the Chief and Golden Eagle.

I was under the impression that all sport sides were Honchos. Some buyers opted to have the decals removed at purchase though. This is hearsay, so I am open to being set straight here.
