New A/C Compressor Swap - eBay Deals!

Hey, I was looking on eBay and saw these four season A/C Compressors..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/FOUR-SEASONS...#ht_706wt_1398

Has anyone swapped one of these in with much success? Seems to be for the 4.2 but I was wondering if it could be easily adapted to fit a 5.9, maybe with some brackets?
This one appears to be a direct fit and should bolt on but is nearly 3x the price....still looks like a good deal.

If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

The 6 cyl and 8 cyl compressors have the same mountings and are physically interchangeable for later model wags having the sanden compressor.
The difference is number of pistons and displacement (ie- cooling capacity).
Compressor for 6 cyl applications (SD507) is five piston unit with 7 ci displacement. 8-cyl applications (SD709) is seven piston with 9 ci displacement.

That york in your 2nd link is NOT a direct fit replacement if your wag is a later model already having the sanden.

and: the 507 / 709 are R12 compatible also the York one.

i would not buy a reman compressor, only new ones and no chinese only original Japan! the manufacturing quality is too bad (they use often scraped compressors for rebuilt).
