Why the IFSJA Forum is the Best!!!

A Google search netted me the following forum page:

Chevy Forums FREE technical assistance for your restoration and repair. Model specific subject matter experts, classified ads and more.

...and after reading the posts on that thread, I realized just how great our knowledge base and attitudes over here in FSJ land are. Maybe it's just late, and I'm tired and feeling like being mean to others, but some of these guys really come across as idiots. Sure, I ask some dumb questions here and especially on theamcforum, but the sheer number of intelligent folks here balances me out.

I'm done ranting now. Goodnight (good morning to everyone not in Hawaii).

I know exactly what you're talking about. People are very encouraging here in ifsjalandia. I spent a couple days poking around another enthusiast site looking for basic information about a fairly common engine swap for that model. Half the people were trying to be helpful, but they were getting drowned out by the ones who just felt like having a fit about the very idea of an engine swap in a car that is otherwise destined for the wrecker. Whew. Then the rest just yelled at me for not already knowing where the info was hiding. Dang. If I was able to find it, I wouldn't be asking in the first place!

Anyway, part of me feels like doing the swap and posting to their site just out of spite now! But that's a lot of money just to prove a point.

Think I'm gonna start looking for another fsj and hang out with the cool people again.

If you can't make it better why waste your time. No use repeating the orignal mistakes. I'm to old to push it that's why.

I have a VW bus and hang out on the Samba forums for help.

There are a bunch of guys on the Samba who answer every posted question with either "get the Bentley" or "Google is your friend".

It's nice we don't have those guys here.

Along with Ford, Chryco, and don't even get started on the foreign stuff after the frogs bought it. The XJ's got hit hard with that stuff.
