Tunes dude!

I need a radio or radio tape player for my 1974 Cherokee.

I "DO NOT" want to cut up the dash for a modern one.

Any OEM radio or after market that will fit the holes in the dash would be great.

(probably not an OEM one as ya'll want huge money for them)

And I am one cheap b**tard

Have you looked into RetroSound?

You can buy an amplifier, a set of speakers and an Aux to RCA cord and then you can just use your audio device as a head unit... That's what I plan to do so I can leave my stock AM radio in the dash. Something like these:
Amp
cord
speakers
I am sure you can find amps cheaper, used and if you already have speakers, that's cheap, too.

If your audio device has Bluetooth, then you can buy this and you don't need a cord (yes I know its more but this way you can just stream and don't need to plug in).
Bluetooth reciever

I don't have a radio period, just a hole in the dash.

I didn't "want" to pay $300 for a radio but may have to. I would like to have one of the retro sound units.

I got a stock AMC AM radio from Watson and sons (on here) for pretty cheap. There is a guy out here in SoCal that may have one, too. I'll hit him up and see what he has and what he wants for them...

I texted him and he said he would look. He said he thinks he has a stock radio but not sure on the year. I told him you just want a working radio that fits in the stock spot for a reasonable price. Hopefully I'll get you an answer soon.

These are the guys that sold me mine:
